CAMP STAFF
Our goal is to keep our staff to student ratio at 1:9. This guarantees individual attention. The staff is what makes this camp so incredibly productive. We ask only the best at every level to assist us in making this a memorable week for you. Our staff range from professional coaches to current collegiate players. Here are just a few examples of our current staff members:

Alec is currently the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Men’s Soccer team at MidAmerica Nazarene University. A graduate of MNU in December of 2009, Alec was a four year starter and a captain of the team his senior year. He leaves MNU having received numerous individual awards. Alec was a 2 time NCCAA Honorable Mention All-American, a 2 time Heart of America All-Conference player, a 2 time NCCAA All-Central Region player, and was the NAIA Champions of Character Award winner for MNU at the 2007 NAIA National Championship tournament. He was a part of numerous team achievements at MNU as well, including a 2006 NCCAA National Championship, a second round appearance in the 2007 NAIA National Championship, and a 2008 HAAC Conference Championship with a final NAIA National Ranking of #16. Alec is currently tied for #3 all time on the MNU career scoring list.
During his teen years, Alec was selected to the pool team for the U.S. Soccer U-14 National Team. He traveled with this team to Mexico for various international friendlies. He was also with the 86′ Region II ODP team, and with the 87′ Region II ODP teams for over four years. With the Region II Boys teams, Alec made trips to Massachusetts, Florida, Costa Rica and to the famous Biella, Italy Junior Pro Tournament. At this tournament the Region II Boys team was the first U.S. team to ever win the tournament championship. The tournament included the youth teams of famous Pro clubs such as Bayern Munich, Torino, Lazio and Juventus.
Alec’s High School career was equally as impressive as he helped lead Maranatha Academy in Shawnee, KS, to their first Kansas State Championship in history. As a high school player he started every game and served as team captain 2 years. Alec is the second all time leading scorer at his high school with 47 goals, second only to his brother who held the state record several years with 96 career goals. He was selected to the All-Sub Regional, All-County, All-State, and All-Metro teams.
Alec received his Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Leadership from MNU in only 3.5 years. He graduated with above a 3.0 GPA. He is currently pursuing his Master’s of Business Administration at MNU. He is also the Coaching Director for the Gardner Legends and has been involved with running camps and coaching youth soccer for the last few years.
Mike Dye
Mike Dye is the current Head Coach at Brewton-Parker College. Before accepting this position he was the assistant men’s coach at West Texas A&M University from 2009-2010. During his time at WT, Coach Dye helped the team to finish the season with a program’s highest National Ranking of #3 in the final regular season polls, a 15-2-2 record, and advance to the 2nd round of the NCAA National Tournament. His primary duties were working with the defense and goalkeepers, and throughout the year the team was consistently ranked #1 in the nation among all DII schools in goals against and shutouts.
Coach Dye began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his Alma mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University from 2006-2009. During his time at MNU, the team won both a National and Conference Championship, ranked as high as 12th nationally in the NAIA Polls, and assisted in the development of nine All-Americans, two Scholar All-Americans, 13 All-Region, and 16 All-Conference athletes.
In addition to MNU and WT, Coach Dye also coached for one season with the Kansas City Legends Soccer Club. After one year, he went on to become the Club Director for the Gardner Legends Soccer Club, overseeing the development of six teams. He has also worked with both boys and girls in their development as Christian athletes with the Chicago Eagles in sports ministry.
During his collegiate career, Coach Dye played goalkeeper at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas. He transferred his sophomore year and went on to play goalkeeper for the next three years at MidAmerica Nazarene University. He left MNU with numerous honors including: NAIA 3rd Team All-American, NAIA All-Region, First-Team All-Conference, Conference Defensive and Overall MVP, two-time NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) Honorable Mention All-American, and NCCAA All-Region. Dye graduated from MNU having set numerous goalkeeping records. In three seasons, he posted 26 career shutouts and attained a 1.04 career goals-against average. Dye played in every match for the Pioneers, accumulating an overall career record of 43-16-5.
Dye earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and his Masters in Professional Counseling from MNU. He holds a National Diploma from the NSCAA.
He currently resides in Mount Vernon, Georgia with his wife, Jayme.
Mike Stone
Mike Stone helped the MNU Pioneers win two conference championships in 2005 and 2008 and two NCCAA National Championships in 2004 and 2006. He is a past Boys ODP Director for the state of Kansas. One of only a few Kansas soccer coaches to have worked on the Region 2 Boys Coaching staff. Stone currently coaches with the KC Legends and runs a youth Pioneer Soccer Academy.
Previously, Stone served as an Age Group Director and Tournament Director for the Olathe Soccer Club (now the Kansas Rush) and coached the Kansas Girls 86′ and Boys 88′ ODP teams. Prior to coming to Kansas City, Coach Stone was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach for the Danville (IL) Area College Jaguars. He guided the start-up program for three years, while teaching business classes and directing the youth soccer organization. Previously, Stone had coached the U19 Girls Greensboro (NC) Twisters and U17 Boys United Quest Red (recently the Atlanta Silverbacks and currently the North Atlanta Soccer Association) to tournament championships. The Twisters won two US Soccer State Championships. Mike started coaching in 1989, where he helped coach the Capital University Men’s team to a conference championship.
Coach Stone played at and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He then obtained his M.B.A. from The Ohio State University. Stone has obtained six National Coaching Certificates including his USSF ‘B’, USSF ‘National Youth’ and his NSCAA ‘Advanced National’. Stone is also a state level and college referee. Mike and his wife Debbie have two daughters.
